'Nough of NuffNang: How To Remove NuffNang Ads and Scripts in Your Blog?

I have been running the Nuffnang Script for Nuffnang ads in my blog (this blog) since it announced its debut of ads-running for Filipino advertisers. From then on, I have been expecting advertisers but nothing came. I actually extended my patience until this month of March until I asked them what is wrong. I was told to that I don't have the "leaderboard ads script" or the script necessary to have the banner ads running.

Nuffnang Profile with Zero Earnings...

To run the ads by Nuffnang, at least for Filipino advertisers, a complete set of ads script is necessary: (1) Leaderborad for the header (2) Skyscraper for the sidebar and (3) Large rectangle for in between contents. In fact, I really consider this as an inconvenient policy to be forced to put all three in a blog but all the same, i wanted to run this Nuffnang ads so I persevered. Came months of waiting and no ads were running.

I could have fixed the problem easily but I see it clearly that I have all three scripts installed so I decided to pull out everything instead of fixing a problem that does not exist in the first place. Since it got a bit tricky to remove, I want to share it with you here. I don't know how many want their Nuffnang ads removed but for sure, there are people who are just not into it anymore after some time of waiting. I se amny blogs around with the logo of Nuffnang, all three of them in correct positions but no ads running.

No regrets for me: I am happy I tried running the scripts but I was just not successful. better than not trying at all. So here it is, how I removed by Nuffnag Ads, in my blogger platform blog. As for me, 'nuff of Nuffnang ads.

1. Log in to your Blogger account

2. Go to "Layout" (1) and Click "Edit HTML" (2).

nuffnang script, nuffnang ads, remove nuffnang, removal nuffnang, nuffnang removal, remove nuffnang blog, nuffnang free blog, blogger dashboard, remove nuffnang blogger

3. Check the "Expand Widget" button. At times this may not be necessary depending on how you originally installed those Nufnnang scripts but it is safe to just check this box.

nuffnang script, nuffnang ads, remove nuffnang, removal nuffnang, nuffnang removal, remove nuffnang blog, nuffnang free blog, blogger dashboard, remove nuffnang blogger

4. Click CTRL+F to open the "Find" or search function. Just type the word "nuff" and you will already see the list of Nuffnang Ads. Delete the whole scripp from beginning to end. You will see that it has a marker to locate the beginning and ending portion. See the sample. Save Changes.

nuffnang script, nuffnang ads, remove nuffnang, removal nuffnang, nuffnang removal, remove nuffnang blog, nuffnang free blog

5. Since you know that you have originally installed 3 scripts, if you happen to find only 1 or only 2 of them in the body of the HTML, you might want to look to your page elements as shown. Try to open and see your HTML or Java scripted elements and you will find in them the remaining Nuffnang ad scripts by clicking "Edit". Just delete them all. Save Changes.

nuffnang script, nuffnang ads, remove nuffnang, removal nuffnang, nuffnang removal, remove nuffnang blog, nuffnang free blog, blogger dashboard, remove nuffnang blogger

6. Check your blog if they have disappeared or have been successfully removed. Goodluck.

The Paypal Story: The PayPal Philippines Experience

I have been using Paypal for quite some time. It was in 2008 when I was forced to open the account to receive payments for my online writing jobs.

paypal philippines, paypal, paypal logo, paypal paradise, paypal in philippines, withdraw paypal philippines, philippine paypal, pay with paypal philippines, paypal experience, paypal experience philippines

Since I want to share some of these earnings, without a fee, to some relatives in the Philippines, I also encouraged my aunt to open an account. In fact, it was I who processed everything only putting her information in the Paypal form. My aunt stays in the Philippines that time and I was in Italy. I could use a great deal of funds even without verifying my Paypal account there in Italy. Of course, I could not withdraw the funds but I could still use that amount to send to anyone, to buy online or for any other purpose as long as it is within the limit: around €1.500,00 or €1,500.00 and without my account verified. This amount is not so small to be a limit in Paypal for someone like me who has only a regular account. Another limitation for not verifying my account is the €300 receipt and payments/sendouts per month.

I did make the account of my aunt. We tried to verify her account using her GSIS card, supported by the Union Bank of the Philippines, because it is like a debit card but she can also view the account activity, similar to statement of accounts. In short, we were able to verify her identity and account allowing her Paypal account to send out some amount of money. In order to withdraw her PayPal fund (which I sent to her), I added a bank account for her. This is not the same as the card (whether debit or credit card) we used to verify her account. I setup a bank account, added and linked it to her Paypal account, and that was the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). In short, she used both the debit card and the bank account itself. The former to verify her account identity and the latter to put her withdrawn funds.

I always process for her withdrawal at the BPI and although it states 5-7 days in withdrawing, more often than not, the money arrives in her account earlier. In short, I use Paypal now most of the time when I have to transfer some amount to her. I have my verified account now here, and I am out of Italy now but still within Western Europe area, and it is very convenient although at times, some amount of time should pass before the cash can be received. But all the same, the exchange rate that Paypal offers is good, almost fair for everyone and this is another thing that makes me glad. The only thing is, aside from Paypal Fee, when the withdrawn amount is lesser than their minimum, or even more, the bank itself (BPI in this case) makes an additional charge. But it total, all in all, it is still lower than the amount one has to pay if moneygram or Western Union is used.

I would like to note that in Philippines, no credit limit is provided unlike here in Europe. if one account is not verified, there is no way that such account may send an amount outside/to other Paypal accounts. Thus, to be able to use the Paypal account in Philippines, verification is a must. To withdraw the Paypal fund, a bank account or the credit card/debit card can be used.

Economic Crisis Impact? It’s Only How We Deal With It.

As I See It
Working in a financial environment makes me more aware of “what is really” happening around. I deal with companies, our so called vendors and I can also see that each one of them has various reactions to the current economic downturn. To be honest. One of my contacts the other Friday was not anymore connected with the company the next Monday. In short, laying off happened.

In my side of the coin, I am seeing budget cuts, reduced spending and trying to renegotiate contracts to pay lower rates to contractors as argued from our side that the demand is so low against the supply (of labor) and it is only proper that their rates or we say, in a lay man’s term, prices, should also decrease. Admittedly, it is a sad reality and at the same time, it is really a messy situation and causing a chaotic effect.

in greed we trust, gree, economic crisis, economic downturn, economy is down, capitalism, failed capitalism, media, media influence

Why am I posting this?
As I have mentioned, others really do not react on this so-called “downturn” in a panic-stricken way. Just today, another vendor sent an invitation in my office for an open house of their products and the location is abroad but also here in Europe. I read the message of the CEO and I was really impressed of what she noted there. She sounds so optimistic about the current situation and as I read, a bud of hope also sprouted in my being.

The Media Factor
According to that certain CEO message that I read, that CEO indicated that we are all afraid because the media scares us. In fact other layoffs are only caused by fear and without real solid basis, but fear. It is the unfounded fear of the future, It is the magnified and exaggerated reaction to the situation.

It was noted that if we try to fight back, be strong and do not believe every utterance of the media, we can make it. If we are not afraid of the “unknown” and of the “speculations”, we will not panic and make drastic moves.

The Economic Factor
Noting some economical theories, we will or would or we do understand that spending is the lifeblood of the economy. When money circulates, the life remains into existence but if not, simply think of yourself without blood: death! The same is true with our economic system. I spend, you got my payment; you spend, she got your payment, she spends, he got her payment and so on and so forth and the life goes on. However, if the scenario is, “I do NOT spend”, the effect is YOUR death, HER death, HIS death, and so on. Thus, spending is important. If the private sector cannot do it, the government must at least have the initiative. But the sad story is, what happens now when the governments do not ave enough entite to initiate the spending as they have previously sold these entities to the private sector?

Now that the economy is “down” and with the private sector thinking ONLY of profits, what we can do all? If there are no people who gain salaries, who will buy the private companies' products? Eventually they would die soon as well. I hope they realize that and they don't think their workers are useless because an organization without peopleware is no organization or entity at all!

Why Did Slumdog Millionaire Make It? Or Why Should It Not?

I got so intrigued by the film, the famous multi-awarded film that caught the attention of the others as well. Thus, some readings satisfied my curiosity. First, I did not realize at first that the director for it is British (Danny Boyle) and the fact that it was based on a story of an Indian individual.

With this successful movie, it is very normal to see critics as well as praises to it. It is actually very impressive to see such comments for and against this big hit in the US theatres but they said, it was a NO-hit in India film. This fact intrigued me so much and the same time, the various comments, both pros and cons against the film intrigue me as well.

slumdog millionaire, slumdog, slum dog, jamal malik, salim malik, jamal, indian story, indian drama, oscar winner, oscar awards, poverty in india film, slums in india
India is not "anymore" portrayed as that poor in the film as the brothers' lives are in the present and they were depicting that poverty is more in the past. Look at this scene...

The Film
So what is the movie or the film about? Slumdog Millionaire actually got 94% tomatometer from Rotten Tomatoes and its overall comment says like, “Visually dazzling and emotionally resonant, Slumdog Millionaire is a film that's both entertaining and powerful.” At least this one is something positive.

The Synopsis (Slumdog Millionaire, 2008)
British director Danny Boyle takes another intriguing career turn with this heartfelt underdog tale. Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) is a street kid (or "slumdog") who has landed an appearance on India's version of the hit TV game show WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? Jamal exceeds expectations on the show, and the producers alert the police after they become suspicious of his methods. The young contestant is subsequently arrested and is interrogated at the hands of a nameless police inspector (played by Bollywood star Irfan Khan). As the interrogation proceeds, Boyle tells Jamal's story through harrowing flashbacks that both show the terrible poverty of Mumbai and help explain how he knew the answers to the MILLIONAIRE questions.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE is a tightly woven story that has been expertly edited into shape. The contrast between Jamal's upbringing and his chance of escaping it on the show are adeptly juxtaposed. Mumbai is portrayed as a place of terrifying poverty and unforgettable brutality, and Jamal and his brother get into a never-ending succession of challenging situations. But the way Boyle ties together Jamal's life experiences with his answers on the show is quite brilliant, and the film really does run the full gamut of emotions as we see him growing up, falling in love, coming close to death, and teetering on the brink of escaping from his terrible predicament. The film belongs to Boyle's cast, who are mostly unknown outside of India. Patel, in particular, gives a startlingly mature performance that audiences are likely to remember long after the credits role on this affecting feature.

Starring: Dev Patel, Irrfan Khan, Anil Kapoor, Madhur Mittal, Freida Pinto
Director: Danny Boyle
Screenwriter: Simon Beaufoy
Producer: Christian Colson
Composer: A.R. Rahman
Studio: Fox Searchlight Pictures
Box Office: $125,324,813 Genre: Drama

Critical Critic
"People keep praising the film's 'realistic' depiction of slum life in India. But it's no such thing. Slum life is a cage. It robs you of confidence in the face of the rich and the advantaged. It steals your pride, deadens your ambition, limits your imagination and psychologically cripples you whenever you step outside the comfort zone of your own neighborhood. Most people in the slums never achieve a fairy-tale ending." (Sudip, 2009)

What can I say about Sudip’s idea is that it is indeed reasonable. However, I would also like to note that not everyone reacts the way how people should react. People in the slums might be robbed off of confidence because they fear that their family member be inflicted with danger if they do something stupid. In the cause of the film’s plot however, the brothers are in a different dimension: no relatives and no future to talk of. What they did was merely for survival. Orphaned at a very young age, no one could tell them what is wrong, what is right, what is fear and what is danger. Additionally, the last statement Sudip added is striking. That is very true! “Most” people in the slums indeed simply fail but sa he noted, it is “MOST” and NOT all!

Another note for the movie tells, “Following its release in India, the film faced criticism from various members of the public alleging that the film fuels western stereotypes about poverty in India and that it peddles "poverty porn" (Singh, 2009).

That statement might be true but isn’t the movie/film itself showed the changes? The scene where the brother meet up, Salim is boasting the big changes that happened and is still happening in Mumbai or in India in general. Isn’t that something positive?
In fact, the call center where Jamal works in the film is very impressive. Not the attitude of the workers but the technology they use. I mean, it is normal for the call center company to have this technology or these technologies but the fact that foreign investors are investing in that country is something positive as well.

Webbielady’s Say
As a viewer of the film, there is nothing so special about it. It is a film one can forget in one night if it has not won awards. What made it striking, as I always tell myself and other about Slumdog Millionaire film, is the way it was carried on. Anyone can actually grow in the slum, steal, be abused and be a winner. I have seen such truths in the Philippine luck games but of course, the chances are thin as hair or even thinner. The story itself is regular but how it was built and the idea in the story is something. The flash backs are effective and the “reasons” why Jamal could answer the questions in the game show, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” are very striking.

Is the movie a success and deserving winner? Naturally Americans crave for a different taste. Thus, the movie gave them aversion for “something different” and they’ve liked it. I cannot say the film deserves the merit or not as I need to see its competing counterparts but what I can say is, I like it myself. But does it deserve that much Oscar awards? Now I think the judges’ decision is irrevocable, so be it!

TournamentsPro is Really a Crook! See the Evidence Here

I have posted the fact that the website or whatever that is named TournamentsPro is a scam. They might even change the name but still they keep on fooling people with the original name. The game of this site, the so-called company, is on money mule stuffs. I explain here in detail what is exactly this company is and what might happen to you if you don’t get careful and be fooled by the scammer TournamentsPro.

tournamentspro scam, tournamentspro, tournaments pro, scammer companies, money mule websites, scammers online, online swindlers
Does this look familiar to you? Or at least the tone of the mail? Of course you are excited when read this or you were excited. Now you get blinded by the FALSE opportunity it offers!

The fact is, I have feedjit in my site and I know it when people landing on my TournamentsPro post here and I know exactly what’s going on. In a year’s time, from the moment the site got suspended so many times until now, I had four seasons when people keep on rushing to my sitedue to google search results. Well, then let’s make the post more reliable and more convincing. Thus, I pack this post with screen shot evidence of the emails I got from this scammer company. Do not believe in them as they are NOT in New York but somewhere in Uruguay or somewhere of that neighborhood. Their English sucks! At least when someone boldly called me! Well, you can try to call them or let them call you. I don’t know why this company keeps on existing despite many site suspensions and site 404 status before. Maybe they just have difficulty on creating a new scam site? Anyway, this site is not alone as there are around seven more with the same owner on all the scams you can imagine online.

tournamentspro scam, tournamentspro, tournaments pro, scammer companies, money mule websites, scammers online, online swindlers
This is the contract they would send out to you. Well, just read through it and it would not seem to be connected to their business at all... Read their website thoroughly as well and you will see that under "services" it's nothing like copied and pasted work plus they don't have FAQ and a telephone number to contact. Isn't that very FISHY?

What exactly TournamentsPro will make you do?
  1. They would hire you at a good pay!
  2. Make you open a bank account, if possible at Citibank;
  3. Will let you disclose and send them your passport or any identification and the bank details that you just opened;
  4. They would tell you that funds would come to you;
  5. Those funds are actually coming from their other scams and the name that is to be traced is to yours and not to them;
  6. If you get unlucky, YOU GET IMPRISONED for laundering and embezzling funds!

tournamentspro scam, tournamentspro, tournaments pro, scammer companies, money mule websites, scammers online, online swindlers
Why are they so afraid that you would not remit the money to them? Because they don't have any way to go after you! They are a scam remember? TournamentPro Limited or any name they use is a Scam! Don't get fooled. If you were drawn and receive any funds, return it to the sender so you don't get into trouble. Or retain it but denounce tournaments pro so they will be traced and penalized. Just don't send them the money, they never deserve a cent. They are swindlers and scammers, thieves and criminals!

See the images on some procedures from the TournamentsPro email. Again, TournamentsPro is a scammer and is largely involved in money mule scamming activities. Be careful! I am not telling you to believe this but I just did my responsibility as a citizen of this world. I have no business exposing something that is decent. I wrote this to inform everyone to be sure of their dealing especially online. Check the link above or click the third image for previous post I did to see some more information about this trick Tournaments Pro and many others are into. Don’t be fooled that you get paid by sitting at home. They are just too good to be true!

Your WebbieLady as the Subject of Art

This past few weeks you webbielady's life was a bit more active in the offline side of the coin. My karate days are so successful and fun; old knowledge comin back to view; some parties to attend to; some fun stuffs around and just this week, your webbie lady had the chance to be an art model: to pose for some painting individuals and be captured by brushes with paints.

<painting model, art model, art, drawing, painting

It was a very enriching experience as it was my first time to do such a thing but I enjoyed and at the same time felt the weight of not moving for quite a few minutes. I had three 7-minute poses (all standing), two 15-minute poses (with normal and high chaurs) and one 30-minute pose in the sofa.

See the samples of the work and decide how your webbielady looks like. Happy blogging and happy weekend everyone!

Did you like that? Well,if you think they are not bad and if you need some painting/art model to pose and you are in the Netherlands, why don't you try me??? ^^
