One of my many blogs was blocked by Google or Blogger as it has been suspected as a spam! I was so afraid that I would lose that blog as it is one that I revived a month ago. I started that blog in February of 2008 and it has never been blocked or flagged as spam. The message to my email explains that someone might have flagged it mistakenly or it was wrongfully classified as a spam blog. I think if this happens to you, like me, your reaction would be the same: be anxious! But what I did to solve this problem and make my blog stay as a normal, healthy and undeleted blog? Just read on....
I followed what was indicated in my dashboard which is to request review or else my blog would be deleted within 20 days! I was really frightened that all my personal and original input in that blog would be lost.
Since that notice has been lifted and my blog is doing great now, all I can say is, don't be afraid if this situation occurs to you and you know fully well that your blog is not a spam. Simply send a request for review to Blogger and in a matter of few hours, your blog would return to normal. Happy Blogging! If you've read until here, you may also visit this site about term life insurance quote. Good luck!
Glad to hear your blog is not being closed down, I was going to visit there next.
Nice to know though what to do in case this happens to you, I have only 40 posts but still it would be terrible to lose all that. Thanks for the advice, but next time can you post why your blog was (supposedly) set off by the system as spam.
wow, that's really something. I mean, well at least it happened to you and you are able to share this experience. ^^
what is a spam blog anyway? Just a while ago I'm thinking of making another blog like an acquaintance who has 3 or more blogs just for the sake of paid posts. I guess sooner or later google will ban it for not having "quality" posts? is that it?
Try contacting google and have them review the site again for you and get it out of that classification hopefully it works because google is the main stay and if you lose that you should just start the blog over
I'm glad it turned out okay for you :) This was a good post to read in case, heaven forbid, the same thing would ever happen to me. It's good that on the blogger page they tell you that they assume it was a false positive, since you were reading the page! So it's not like they're treating you as a criminal, and they want you to get your blog back. :) Sometimes when a website freezes your account it is VERY hard to restore it.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to resolve the problem with blogger. That just shows that they are human as well. Some big companies just do not respond well to regular citizen bloggers. Anyway, please drop by and pay a visit.

JUNE 8, 2009 5:36 PM Ratty said... Great advice for anyone else who might have this problem. But maybe they should have reviewed your blog before they marked your blog as spam. @ Ratty, the marker is actually not human and if someone reported you, for whatever reason, your blog would be in danger. The check to verify if it is a spam or not I guess is done by human though.

@ fedzh, I don't think so.. no one has been banned for paid posts yet plus you cannot make successive paid posts, right? That would be against the TOS of most paid posts agencies....

I was informed that the determining software make mistakes most of the time, mistaking normal blogs to be spammy. Sad but true..
